Course: Polish, A1.4

This course is intended for participants who have already completed around 45 Polish lessons and have a solid grasp of the basics of the language.

In this course (lessons 12–14 from Krok po kroku 1), you will deepen your language skills and learn, among other things, how to:

  • tell the time and make appointments,
  • talk about the past (e.g. Byłem w Warszawie – I was in Warsaw),
  • use verbs of motion correctly (iść / jechać / chodzić),
  • find your way around the city and ask for directions,
  • talk about places and tourist attractions.
The course takes place at the Po polsku school in Dresden-Neustadt (near Albertplatz).

Course: Polish for Advanced, B2/C1

Do you already speak Polish pretty well? Did you perhaps learn it in your family or even grew up bilingual? In this course, you will meet like-minded people and have a lot of fun with Polish, whether it is discussing, reading literary texts or the infinite forms of Polish numerals and proverbs.

  • understand a wide range of demanding longer texts and grasp even implicit meanings
  • express themselves spontaneously and fluently without searching for words more often
  • use the language effectively and flexibly in social and professional life or in training and studies
  • express themselves in a clear, structured and detailed manner on complex issues

Course: Polish from the Beginning, A1.1

Course: Polish Intermediate, A2

This course is intended for participants who have already completed at least 60 hours of Polish lessons and can confidently apply the knowledge gained in previous courses.

Participants have mastered the basics of Polish grammar and know the four most important cases (nominative, accusative, instrumental, genitive), the use of plural forms, possessive pronouns, and verbs of motion. They can talk about their family, daily routine, leisure activities, and past experiences, give directions, and hold simple conversations in everyday situations.

The course takes place at the Po polsku school in Dresden-Neustadt (near Albertplatz).

Course: Polish Intermediate Level, B1

The course is based on lessons 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 from the book Krok po kroku 2. Participants should already have a solid understanding of grammar, be able to handle basic everyday situations, and conduct simple conversations. The course deepens the existing knowledge and prepares participants for more complex language structures.

For Polish women and men living in Dresden or the surrounding area who have already studied German for at least two semesters or have taught themselves a lot through everyday life in Germany.

  • talk with supervisors and colleagues, make phone calls, and write emails
  • describe your own experiences, feelings, and plans
  • react appropriately in different everyday situations – e.g. at the office, in a shop, at school, or at the doctor’s
  • understand instructions, announcements, and messages
  • ask questions, invite someone, ask for help, and politely decline
  • talk about children’s topics in school and kindergarten
  • talk about yourself and your past
  • solve problems
